Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple is a fascinating and unique UNESCO World Heritage Site. The two aspects of this site - the grotto and the temple - both relate to the long-lost Silla Kingdom, which ruled southern Korea for almost a thousand years between the 1st and 10th centuries AD, and was the first kingdom to unify the Korean peninsula.
