In 1989, a new Miss Mexico is about to be crowned. Thirty-two young women compete for the title.

Dolores is the top favorite of the competition. The pageant’s founder, Concepción, has long recognized her potential and is drawn to her charm. Dolores is also a lesbian. After repeatedly testing the waters with Concepción, the two fall in love and share an unforgettable night together.

However, Concepción’s brother, Raúl, is using the pageant to conduct corrupt deals involving power and sex. Dolores becomes entangled in it and accidentally kills the future president before the final competition. Her only way out is to win Miss Mexico and use fame and status to escape the threat of power.

Unfortunately, the only evidence that records the scandal and the truth—a videotape—is found by Raúl, placing Dolores in grave danger.
