Promenade Lock & Closed Promenade | Tango

Script:
" In today's video we're looking at a combination in the tango consisting of a Promenade Lock and a Closed Promenade. Typically the Promenade Lock would remain in Promenade Position, however we are choosing to dance this with a unique styling, swaying back where we came from and in this particular version we're actually moving into a Counter Fallaway position in the lock before returning to Promenade Position. And as you're probably aware, the Closed Promenade commences in Promenade Position and ends in Closed Position.

One of the common mistakes when dancing a Closed Promenade is that the lady will come too far across the man. It's important that we purely turn the hips and the feet and the head to close back to man. And you'll be able to see that clearly in this demonstration with a strong foot, hip and head turn. We are rising in this lock so we have a heel, heel toe, toe, toe heel before a heel and then an inside edge of the foot and a flat foot in the Closed Promenade. And one final time now for the man's solo demonstration."
