This is California Chrome's ode to the 6 Million Dollar Man. To many of his fans, he was heroic for showing the world that the little man can achieve great things. A blue collar horse with supreme talent, lends to the imagination that he was a super horse. This video is for the kid at heart with a little sense of humor. Like a throwback to old Hollywood horse stories of redemption, California Chrome emerged triumphant. After suffering some injuries that threatened to end the rest of his remarkable racing career, he was revived and returned to racing; bigger, stronger, faster. As a 3 year old, on his way to winning the Kentucky Derby, a Shiek from the Middle East offered his owners to buy him for 6 million dollars. They declined. Two years later, he took home 6 million dollars, as the Dubai World Cup Champion.

California Chrome began the year 2016 with a victory at San Pasqual against Hoppertunity and Imperative. After winning his debut return, he went all the way straight to the Dubai World Cup international race to reclaim his stature as one of the best race horses in America. He shot to the top of the ranknigs by NTRA and the International Federation becoming the undisputed champion. Under a roaring crowd, he electrified the stadium and sent shockwaves through American horse racing. In pursuit of his victory, Chrome dominated several multi-Grade 1 winners from America, and a host of international star horses while almost losing his saddle. With his 6 million dollar win, he doubled his earnings to a staggering 12.5 million dollars, becoming the most successful American history. From the least expensive Grade 1 dirt horse in America to the most successful in history, Chrome defied the odds against him, once again. The story of California Chrome with his epic finale will transcend through the ages among the greatest of underdog stories in horse race history.
