Leaving the Grampians National Park behind, I headed north toward Mildura, taking the slow route through Victoria’s heartland.
Along the way I camped at Taylor Lake, stopped in Horsham for a proper bakery feed, and checked out a few of the silo artworks along the Silo Art Trail.
One of the highlights was meeting some local farmers near a free camp outside Ouyen — we ended up catching yabbies and cooking them over the campfire that night.
On their recommendation, I took the dirt road from Hattah to Mildura, following the Murray River most of the way. It was a seriously hot day, but stopping for a swim along the river made it worth it.
After rolling into Mildura and settling into the caravan park, I planned to train at a local BJJ gym… until I discovered my fridge wasn’t working properly.
