CENTRAL TRAVANCORE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Central Travancore region, comprising parts of five districts in Kerala state namely Pathanamthitta,
Alappuzha, Kottayam and Idukki. Central Travancore is the major hub for tourism activities in
Kerala. Its unique culture and traditions have made central Travancore one of the popular tourist
destinations in the world. Central Travancore is also known as the Pilgrim Hub of Kerala.
Pathanamthitta district alone receives an estimated 6 to 7 million pilgrims during the festival
season. Thus there is a frequent flow of people to this area.There is a huge accessibility problem
faced by people in reaching their destinations in Central travancore.
In order to solve these problem and for the better development, introducing an International airport terminal at the heart of Central Travancore!
