Fat Snare Tone - Easy Tuning Tutorial

Probably the easiest way to get a fat snare tone from your drum! This is not a complex method and simply involves de-tuning two of the lugs on any snare, adding some muffling and you're good to go. I went through the whole process to make it really easy for you to get a fat snare tone from your drum.

This of course works best with bigger snare drums and 30 or 42 strand snare wires. I really like this method on 8x14 or 6.5x14 with an Evans HD Dry head and an Evans E-Ring for muffling.
