On April 20, 2022, Delaware State University’s women’s lacrosse team was pulled over by law enforcement on an interstate in rural Georgia. What should’ve been a minor traffic stop turned into an all-out drug search. Players on the bus claim sheriff deputies decided to search them because they were a majority Black team.
