And thus my first land contact not only anywhere outside of the United States, but anywhere outside of my area since December 2019! Flair was running a big fare sale about a month before this trip, and it leapfrogged a different trip I booked for later this summer as the first travel since the pandemic began. With just a weekend in Vancouver during summer, I didn't need anything beyond the underseat bag allowance and was able to save a lot on this flight compared to flying anyone else nonstop. Too that paying to reserve this seat was cheap as well, especially for seats up front, or compared to seat selection fees on other airlines in general.
