We are proud to announce the launch of the Figueroa Corridor Human Trafficking Initiative, a pivotal new effort designed to combat human trafficking and the exploitation of minors in South Los Angeles. This initiative embodies a comprehensive, whole-of-government strategy, uniting federal and local law enforcement agencies to address the multifaceted issues of illegal sex work and trafficking.
In today's press conference, prominent figures including U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto, District Attorney George Gascón, LAPD Chief Dominic Choi, FBI Assistant Director Akil Davis, Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Eddy Wang, and City Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson came together to discuss this groundbreaking initiative.
