This historical ballad plunges into the heart of Shikishima, the unit who carried out the first successful Kamikaze attack, through the eyes of Commander Yukio Seki. Though his soul recoiled from this grim sacrifice, love for his wife, his world's anchor, ignited his resolve. He soared not for glory, but as a desperate prayer that her future might gleam. His plane, a fiery arrow, became a testament to a reluctant hero's ultimate devotion, a final, burning resolve in the fire of war.
・The first illustration depicts Yukio Seki and the Shikishima preparing for their fateful attack on October 24th 1944.

Verse 1
On the carrier deck, I see the rising sun
When I board my plane, there is no path home
In my men's eyes there are no tears
With resolve we take to the skies
Chorus
A foolish order, calling only for death
Yet we search for its meaning
If I'm to die, I will die to protect the one I love
My dear wife, my life will always be yours
Verse 2
The Shikishima unit, to the blue ocean
Searching between the clouds, for the enemy fleet
On the distant horizon, carriers come into sight
I ready myself, for now our time has come
Chorus
A foolish order, calling only for death
Yet we search for its meaning
If I'm to die, I will die to protect the one I love
My dear wife, my life will always be yours
Verse 3
Though anti-aircraft flames scorch the sky
One plane strikes deep into the enemy vessel
Flash and smoke, spreading on the waves
A carrier, deep in flames
Chorus
A foolish order, calling only for death
Yet we search for its meaning
If I'm to die, I will die to protect the one I love
My dear wife, my life will always be yours
Verse 4
Piercing the clouds, gazing at the target
Towards the St. Lo, my plane heads
My wife's face, indeed, is the final light
For the sake of the one I love, I leave this world
Chorus
It was a foolish order, calling only for death
Yet we searched for its meaning
I found my meaning, to protect the one I love
This death, indeed, is an honorable one
