Just as you travel from Islamabad to Lahore via the motorway, now you will travel on the motorway to Gilgit. Finally, you will be able to travel on the big motorway in Gilgit-Baltistan like other parts of the country, which will be the first Gilgit motorway. If we go back in time, in December 2021, upon the completion of construction work on the Skardu Road, the Jaglot-Skardu Road was inaugurated, after which the total distance between Skardu and Gilgit has been reduced from 9 hours to just 3 hours. This is the same Jaglot-Skardu Road, which is also commonly called the Gilgit-Skardu Road, and this road is now taking the form of a motorway and will be connected to the Islamabad Motorway.

Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has approved the Gilgit-Skardu Motorway and remember that the proposed Islamabad-Gilgit and Skardu Motorway project is considered a major game changer for these regions, will be 170 to 200 kilometers long, which will improve the connectivity of Gilgit with Skardu.
