Semmering Austria / With our SMART ForTwo - October Trip 2022 - S.3 Eps.45

We changed the Transalp with Smart ForTwo, even if only for a short time... now in the cold season. Period 19/21 October 2022 with a total of 1630km covered in 3 days in the Semmering area from Austria.

On October 19, 2022, we went on a 3-day mini trip with our Smart ForTwo 700cc.
The departure was from Arad with the direction of Sopron in Hungary. The total route was 620km long, with detours through Austria.
We made our first official stop in Gyor. Unfortunately, we didn't have coins to pay for parking, we were in a hurry anyway... So we easily gave up on the idea of ​​visiting the center of Gyor by foot.
The second objective was the Neusiedler Lake Lighthouse in Podersdorf am see.
Here the wind blew very hard, we didn't stay long and went further towards SCS Vienna.
There we ate, did some shopping and left for our accommodation in Sopron, Vendégház Takács. This is where we were going to stay for the next two nights.

The second day with Smart through Austria - 20.Oct.2022 - 385km 😁🤙
It was a very long day, only on small mountain roads with a lot of stops. In the end we gave up on the Marien waterfall, because we was wasting time there too... Anyway, we arrived at 19:30, leaving at 8 in the morning. 😬
All in all a successful day, perfect weather. The Semmering area is very beautiful. We also went down to the valley to see the Green Lake (Gruner See)
To be able to fully enjoy all these beauties, more time is needed. But we don't have it... So we cram in as much as we can 😂😬

Day three with our Smart - 21.Oct.2022 - 540km 😁👌
Waking up again at 6:00 a.m. because we had a long way home. At 7:00 a.m. we managed to set off from Sopron / Hungary. We didn't visit anything in particular, it was just the way home, with a small detour to see Lake Balaton. Unfortunately without success, because in the whole area... In the south of the lake, wherever we tried to get to the water, we only encountered mudflats.
We crossed all of Hungary only on national and county roads... Unfortunately, many roads in Hungary are of very poor quality.
In the end, at 7:00 in the evening, we arrived safely in Arad, Romania after 12 hours on the road and 540km.
