Feargal MacIonnrachtaigh is a first generation Irish speaker and a product of the Irish Medium Education system in Belfast. He studied his Doctoral Thesis at Queen University Belfast and has written 2 books; Language, Resistance & Revival: Republican prisoners and the Irish Language in the North of Ireland and Féile Voices at 30.
He is Director of Irish language youth and community organization, Glór Na Mona and is a prominent member of An Dream Dearg, Irish language rights grassroots campaigning network.
