LEGO Technic ROUGH TERRAIN CRANE (42082) — Function Check & Dusting | Maintenance at the Museum

The LEGO® Technic™ 42082 Rough Terrain Crane is our largest and tallest LEGO crane to date (pre-August 2018), and it deserves careful maintenance to stay in pristine condition. In this episode of Maintenance at the Museum, we dust, check, and test all of the crane’s moving and stationary parts.

From the massive boom arm and hook to the V8 engine, rotating superstructure, and extendable outriggers, every element is inspected to ensure it’s tight, secure, and operating smoothly. We also check the detailed operator’s cab, storage compartments, and LEGO Power Functions controls, making sure everything is ready for display or play.

Regular maintenance preserves the crane’s functionality, prevents wear on the moving parts, and keeps this incredible 4,050-piece model looking stunning in any LEGO Technic collection.
