In this video i'm making Japanese Kiritsuke knife from damascus steel 15N20 & 1095
This Chef's knife was made for my friends Dad for his birthday.
I've start from marking outlines on steel billet and cut out with grinder, was very late so i had to use my metal cutting bandsaw.
I spend allot of time on belt grinder trying to create the best bevels i ever did.
HT went very good and i'm happy with results, after cleaning and sanding knife went to oven for 2h in 200c.
For handle i used padauk wood and Ash plus brass, after putting all parts together was time for shaping with hand tools (simply love to use hand tools :P)
Spent hours on sharpening with incredible results, my sharpest knife ever.
I'm a hobbyist not professional knife maker so i might doing some of the things differently than professionals.
Thanks for watching
