If you own a Land Rover Discovery 3 for long enough, eventually there will be a fault causing the the tailgate not to open. This can be caused by a fault with the switch itself, or by a failed actuator. Fortunately, on this occasion, it was the switch, which is an easier and less costly job to fix. This video shows how I determine the fault and replace the switch. This is a record of how I replaced the switch. It is not intended as a tutorial film.
