Comparison of two thin columns with identical cross-sectional area but different cross-sectional shapes. Euler buckling equation shows how different area moments of inertia affect predicted buckling loads
Note: during the calculations, I wrote height of stick 1 as being 4m when it is really4mm. It is correct in the next line and the result is correct.
