11 NEWS ITEMS ON CONSTRUCTION with cheeky comment! Liverpool Building Boom

For the first time I have done a round-up of news items gathered from various media on the subject of construction and development. I've selected 11 important announcements, illustrated with new and archive photos and videoclips. These include: The closure of St John's Beacon, former Radio City Tower, progress with Central Docks and the Great George Street project next to Chinatown, approval sought for Liverpool Baltic Station, including how much it costs and how long before it is completed. A plan for 'Sinking the Strand', actually plans for a tunnel, but with an extremely long window for delivery!

On this channel I try to fill the gap between the developers, architecture, planners / placemakers, local authorities and and other decision makers involved in construction - and on the other side, the general public who benefit from or have to live with the results of those decisions! I like to include a bit of cheeky humour wherever I can. Official press releases and news items are often humourless and expressed using jargon or clichéd words and phrases.
