Gothuruth Muziris Heritage and Development & Charitable Society is registered under the Charitable Act (ER 620/11) and is formed to serve the people of society and the Island Gothuruth. As part of society’s charity, we conduct various medical camps. The society gives full support to the functioning of the primary health center at Gothuruth which is helpful for the surrounding villages too. The society gives medicines, wheelchairs, aqua guards, beds, and other hospital equipment whenever they require it through various service programs. In 2015 we started a Charitable project – Pratheeksha (A help for dialysis patients, Cancer patients, etc). We also help the poor and needy people of Chennamangalam, Chittattukara, Vadakkekara Panchayat, and Paravur Municipality, who are under dialysis. We also help the poor financially, those who find it difficult to treat the patients in the hospitals. There are a lot of people struggling to find money for dialysis. Society wants to support, and help and want them to feel that they are not alone, but society is there in their struggle and to lift them up.
