In the holy city of Varanasi, where ancient traditions flow alongside the sacred Ganges, another reality quietly exists: an estimated 90,000 stray dogs wandering the streets—injured, starving, and unseen.

Most will never live to see safety. But some do.

This film takes you inside a rare sanctuary called Animotel Care Trust, where no animal is ever euthanized and every life is treated with dignity. Located 25 km from the city center, the shelter is surrounded by wheat fields and runs entirely on donations and personal funds. It’s home to over 150 dogs, including many with disabilities—some with just three legs, some blind, some too traumatized to be with others.
