Dr Yashpal Sharma, Executive Director of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME) has been nominated as Chairman of a sub-committee of State Government’s Health and Medical Education which is part of a Government Committee to look after operational, structural and organisational betterment of AIIMS and Government Medical College and Associate Hospitals in J&K. This is a prize position by Omar Abdullah Government for Dr Yashpal Sharma, who were the key man in the SMVDIME when the controversy of MBBS seats arises and later an agitation under Sangharsh Samiti concluded it by rejection of LOP of College.
