Retrieval-based learning is a powerful practical approach to improving our memory and learning of information! Part 1 will discuss what retrieval-based learning is and the behavioural evidence for this effect in humans. This is incredibly useful for students who may be studying for an exam or anyone trying to learn something.
Part 2 will look at which part of the brain is important for retrieval-based learning and theories of how the brain does it! (link: • Retrieval-based learning - do we have diff... )
**When I discuss 'understanding' at 02:15, I mean to 'understand and remember'! Check out the "Feynman" technique for an approach to understand a new topic. Happy to discuss this more!
