TRANSPARENT vs. OPAQUE Colors: How I USE them in my PAINTINGS

Within this video we are going to be finishing up the painting of this rose. I often use transparent paint within my works because I like to apply the paint lightly and use subtractive drawing techniques for my highlights, mid tones, and textures. But there are plenty of times when opaque (and semi-opaque) colors are better for the job- at least for me anyway. So within this video I'll show you how I use the 2 and how I can make a color opaque by adding white into the mixture. The opacity is going to depend on how much opaque color (in this case white) is added to the mix. Thanks for being here 🙂
