Octopath Traveler 0 Demo [Japanese Dialogue / English Text / No Commentary]

2:30:46 -ish my cat decided to step on my capture card, causing it to disconnect for a second. Nothing was missed though.

Octopath Traveler 0 will, sadly or happily depending on your view, be my first Switch 2 game, not counting Switch 1 games on the Switch 2 or upgrade packs for select Switch 1 games. As such, the version I played was the Switch 2 version, but a demo exists for the Switch 1 version as well. The game is the same price for both versions so I imagine the "Switch 2 upgrade" if you bought the first one for whatever reason on the Switch 2 should be free by that logic. The demo is also there for PC (Steam), and other consoles.

You'll get three hours and assuming you sped through the story or skipped it entirely, you could get farther than I did. You also could keep playing past the demo, but you are locked into the area you are in (I believe), so you can infinitely grind in said area if you have nothing else to do or don't want to have any fun with the game. (Some people have already done such actions).

If you didn't care much for Octopath 1 and 2, you likely won't like 0, since it shares a lot of the same mechanics. Although, the demo is free so feel free to give it a try.

I don't know if I will showcase it either than this for the channel. If people want to see it then I could, otherwise this is something I will likely play on my own time.
