I have heard a lot recently about medium-format digital cameras. Watched photographers go back to 6x6 square formats, and I can only look on with envy. You can have all of this with a DSLR.
This vlog shows you how to work this simple medium format hack and increase your resolution without losing quality - and why would you want to. It’s simple mathematics when you crop a full-frame 35mm sensor from 36 x 24 to 24 x 24 to get a square you throw 33% of your pixels in the bin.
The solution is here and it is simple, it has a few drawbacks but essentially you end up with a max size of 36 x 36 which is 44% bigger. Ok so it’s not 6x6 true medium format, and the pixel density is a bit higher.
Watch the video let me know what you think and If you have tried it in the comments.
