What is Macrame?

Macrame seems to be getting more popular... That's why as a Macrame enthusiast I wanted to dig deep, explore and explain what it actually is, what the word means and the history behind the craft.

As a Macrame maker myself, it's a craft that's helped me mentally during the COVID-19 lockdown.

With nothing to do, I learnt Macrame. It took my mind off things, helped me relax and stop overthinking. If like me you struggle with anxiety and tend to drive yourself crazy with your own thoughts, I'd highly recommend learning Macrame 😊

I am a newbie to YouTube so please go ahead and ignore my looking down and scratching (not picking) my nose - I was just a wee bit nervous.

Pronunciation: I realise there are 2 ways to say Macrame, as you can hear I say it with the US pronunciation (the UK pronunciation just didn't come naturally to me but that's not to say it's wrong!)
