“The future of hiring is equitable.” That’s the phrase that appeared before thousands of the world’s top hiring professionals in New York City during Future Works 2022, Indeed’s annual global conference. That year, Rachel Rosenberg’s team at Indeed launched several new offerings for industry professionals – both those looking to advance their DEI goals and those simply looking to improve their talent pipelines.
As a behavioral scientist, and co-founder of the “Equity” team, Rachel’s role was to reduce bias in hiring. Her team built technology to get more job seekers who face significant barriers hired. In this talk, Rachel outlined a few interventions designed by Indeed, described some of the challenges to equitable hiring, and offered some ideas for the future.
