HDV Firewire to PC Solutions

The best available solution to importing footage from a HDV camera to a PC via firewire. And I apologize for the length, but I wanted to leave no stone unturned for this cause it took me forever to figure this out.

Solution #1: If your PC has an express card slot, go out and get an express card adapter that has firewire ports.

Solution #2 (recommended): This is the universal solution. Go and get the Pinnacle Studio Moviebox. Has the firewire port on it and connects to your computer via USB. You just gotta plug it in, go online and download the driver for your specific model, and plug your camera in and you're ready to go! (You might have to restart the computer after you're done installing it).
