After the events of the "Seattle Snowmageddon" that occurred that weekend, there was work to be done. Trains that where trapped by snow and ice down south had to be moved of course, and lots of maintenance and repairs to infastructure had to be made.
The wayside horn systems where no exception. After failing to operate in the incliment weather the previous day BNSF was able to get a signal maintainer out to test the devices and work out any kinks in the machines. The horns sounded off excessively whenever trains passed becuase of it, as you can hear when the H EVELVJ flies by.
The operations on the railroad had pretty much returned to normal, with BNSF running things smoothly once again. I had a rare opportunity to shoot a perfectly timed meet between the G PSAHAS and the H EVELVJ at the imfamous Steilacoom Curve, and the footage turned out fantastic! EVELVJ had a trio of SD75Ms, always a treat to see the former workhorses of the Santa Fe running alongside newer power in the late 2010's. Also seen later that evening is BNSF's Roy Turn (R NWE8352), making the weekly run to DuPont for interchange with the Muni.
