Electric compressor installation with epoxy grout

This video shows the repair process carried out by Alphatec Engineering specialists to supply and install the grout materials required for securing the anchor bolts into the foundation, and to advise on some aspects of equipment installation.

Project details:
→ New Burckhardt 2HS-E-14 2-cylinder compressor.
→ ABB AXR 500MM6 electric motor, of 1015 kW at 800 - 1000 rpm.
→ Both (compressor + electric motor) mounted on substantial steel bases, or skids.
→ Concrete foundation with an estimated volume of 44 m3, and estimated mass of around 106 tonnes.


To install new machinery we follow OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and API RP 686 recommendations (American Petroleum Institute), together with our more than 40 years of experience.
