The Sopranos is the most popular fictional mafia family to ever air on film and television. But did you know that there was an actual real life version of a mafia family that compared and aspired to be like Tony Soprano and his crew around the same time the show was airing every Sunday night? That's right! The DeCavalcante crime family is America's oldest and smallest crime family, and their comparisons to The Sopranos are mind blowing. From having their own boss of the family not officially be named boss in title and owning his very own strip club, to having its very own version of rats just like Raymond Curto and Sal "Big Pussy" Bonpiensiero, to even having its very own version of Vito Spatafore that was just experimenting with a joke!
