A quick summary of a project to re-roof a two-car garage. The total material cost for the project was about $1,500 and it took me 60 hours to do the work alone. The roof was 760 square feet. A full materials list is included at the end of the video. Key observations are:
• It took longer than I expected but it was enjoyable
• A nail gun would have made things faster
• So would a lift to hoist shingles to the roof
• A dry climate benefited the job because I didn't have to rush
• A two-car garage is about as big of a project as I would want to tackle alone
• I estimate that I might have saved about $1,500 doing it myself
