Mega Man Revised - Boss Battle & Stage Clear

Finally I get to upload this.. I actually finished these tracks a long time ago but I wanted to make a fitting and creative video to go along with it. What you're hearing is the Boss Battle and Stage Clear themes of Mega Man Powered Up, remade in 8-bit with Famitracker (that is after all what my Revised series is about). I've tried recreating the songs pretty faithfully and made a couple of changes and additions to spruce things up a bit. The Boss Battle starts off with alarm sounds to indicate the appearance of a robot master, which is now actually part of the track, followed by a renewed MM1 boss battle jingle. The second part of the track I decided to put my own spin on because I find the one in Powered Up too soft and empty. Finally I added some sound effects here and there to tie the whole thing together.

Making the graphics for this video however took the most time. I thought it would be fun here to have a backdrop of Mega Man fighting against the original 6 robot masters. So first I recorded myself playing the Legacy Collection. Then I made a montage of it with a narrative in mind. After that I tried incorporating elements of later MM games and lastly, came up with and added new ideas of my own. That meant doing lots of new animations/effects and doing a whole bunch of sprite work. I love being in that creative process but it sure takes a lot of time. Right now I'm just happy I actually get to release this :)
