Prakash Sherpa and Benedikt Böhm are in Nepal for a 7000m Himalayan speed project: a speed ascent and ski descent of Himlung Himal. Himlung Himal is a 7,126m (23,380 ft.) peak lying northeast of Nepal’s Annapurna region. The mountain, bordering Nepal and Tibet, is most often a mountaineering objective, but Benedikt and Prakash hope to tackle the mountain on skis, and what's more, they're aiming for a blazing fast round trip time of sub 10 hours. The team has been sending Wildsnow dispatches via satellite, and we will publish video dispatches as we get them, so follow along for more.
