Kokeshi is a wooden doll toy that is a traditional craft in Japan,
made in the hot spring areas of the Tohoku region.
Typically, they have a simple form consisting of a spherical head and a cylindrical body. The name Kokeshi is thought to mean "doll made of wood shavings." Kokeshi is classified into approximately 11 types
depending on the production area and form.
There are also new types of Kokeshi, such as creative Kokeshi
and character Kokeshi.
