Joey "Wackky D" Tilson recently sat down with us for a three hour interview to talk about his life and upcoming autobiography "Live from the Devil's Playground". Joey's story is heavy, born to the care of an addict father, becoming a Satan Disciple at the age of 9, losing his two year old daughter in a gang shooting, succumbing to heroin and ultimately spending 28 years of his life behind bars. Joey passed away on 3/3/2022. May he rest in peace.
Part two goes on to talk about how uncommon the racial makeup of 18th & Cal was, the Audi home, the notorious Cook County bullpen (holding cells) and transferring to the joint for the first time. We also talk about the formation of 88th & Archer as well as 85th & Leclaire / 81st & Tripp.
