ECEWS Supports University of Uyo Teaching Hospital PCR Laboratory with Alinity M Machine

To strengthen Nigeria’s laboratory systems and enhance the quality of HIV testing services, the Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS) has supported the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH) with the deployment and implementation of the Alinity M machine in its PCR laboratory.

This advanced technology is helping to reduce sample backlogs and turnaround time while improving result accuracy and reliability. It is also enhancing the hospital’s capacity for molecular testing and data reporting, contributing significantly to Nigeria’s progress toward achieving HIV epidemic control.
