Building a Natural Medicine Cabinet | How I make Simple Tinctures

Hey friend, As promised I'm bringing you along as I build my Home Apothecary here at Seed and Sparrow Homestead. In this video I'm going to show you how to make herbal tinctures and give you a little bit of information on several herbs and hopefully point you in the right direction, getting you on the road to creating your own home apothecary.

For Fresh Herbs
Your Ratio will be 1:2 by weight, but sometimes that doesn't always work so an easier technique is to fill a jar 1/2 full with fresh herbs(leaves, flowers, roots, bark or berries) then top the jar with your menstruum.

Fold Methos For Dried Herbs
Your ratio will be 1:5 by weight but sometimes that doesn't always work so an easier technique is to fill your jar 1/4 full of dried herbs(leaves, flowers, roots, bar or berries) then top the jar with your menstruum.
