Dominican Travel | Bustling Markets & the Road to Las Terrenas

Ever found yourself in the middle of the unexpected while traveling? Join me on a day full of surprises as I make my way from Las Galeras to Las Terrenas in the Dominican Republic. 🌴✨

Starting the morning with fresh coconut bread (seriously, it’s a must-try), Mark and I walk along the beach to catch the mini-bus. The journey quickly turns into an adventure as we make a stop at the Samana Fruit and Veg Market – a buzzing hub of local life, where I dive into the hustle and bustle. It's full of colorful stalls selling everything from fresh produce to clothes, and even a hilarious moment where a guy "shoots" me with his hand (don’t worry, I lived to tell the tale!).

As we continue to Las Terrenas, the scenery shifts to stunning coastal views, lush tropical greenery, and lively streets. First impressions? It’s definitely more vibrant and energetic compared to the laid-back vibe of Las Galeras.

Finally, I arrive at Manty’s Guesthouse, which looks like an awesome spot for travellers, with great vibes and a welcoming atmosphere. But things don’t always go as planned... Stay tuned for what happens next in my travel series – let’s just say, there’s a "panic moment" you won’t want to miss!
