In this video, you will see horizontal milling operations such as drilling, countersink, tapping and profile milling. For the machining video is used CNC Nicolas Correa milling machine with Heidenhain control. The specific machine can be Vertical, Horizontal, or it can work in every angle but you need to turn the head conventionally.
Cutting Conditions:
Drilling operation: drill d=17.5 mm, V=100 m/min, f=0,3 mm/rev, carbide drill
total depth 50 mm, material C45.
Countersink operation: d=37 mm, V=25 m/min, f=0,15 mm/rev, material C45.
Tapping operation:
Tap M20, pitch 2.5 mm, V=7 m/min, total depth 40 mm, material C45.
Profile operation: face mill diameter d=35 mm, V=250 m/min, f=0,25 mm/tooth, carbide inserts z=6 inserts, total depth 35 mm, step over Z axis 0.5 mm material C45.
