In this video, we continue the journey along US Route 50, entering our final state — Maryland. The drive begins just beyond Washington, DC, transitioning quickly from dense suburbs into wide stretches of divided highway with few towns along the way. Highlights include a scenic crossing of the iconic Chesapeake Bay Bridge and a detour along MD-18 through Kent Island. The route then winds through small historic towns like Queenstown and Easton via old alignments of the highway. The day wraps up with a stop in St. Michaels, setting the stage for the final leg of the coast-to-coast trip to the Atlantic Ocean.
