Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT2 - 4.5-Litre V8 Engine Sound, Action at Nürburgring, Monza & Le Castellet

This 2010 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT2 is one of the few built, chassis number 006 out of 10 cars built in the years from 2008 to 2011. I enjoyed seeing and filming it in action several times in three different circuits; at the Nürburgring during the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix, in Italy for the Monza Historic and in France at Le Castellet for the Dix Mille Tours. Brought to the race by the JMW Motorsport team at the wheel we find the German driver Franz Wunderlich. The car is powered by the Vantage naturally aspirated V8 engine increased in displacement to 4.5-litres and capable of developing 450hp and 500Nm of torque. To move it a sequential 6-speed gearbox. The chassis and roof are made of aluminium while the external carbon fibre body panels allow a total car weight of approximately 1,175 kg. This specific model raced the Le Mans Series in the 2010 season. Still, other GT2 models have been deployed in further championships such as FIA GT Championship, American Le Mans Series and 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Questa Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT2 del 2010 è una delle poche costruite, numero di telaio 006 su un totale di 10 vetture realizzate negli anni dal 2008 al 2011. Ho avuto il piacere di vederla e filmarla in azione più volte in tre differenti circuiti; al Nürburgring durante l'AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix, in Italia per il Monza Historic ed in Francia a Le Castellet per il Dix Mille Tours. Portata in gara dal team JMW Motorsport al volante troviamo il pilota tedesco Franz Wunderlich. La vettura è mossa dal motore V8 aspirato della Vantage incrementato nella cilindrata a 4.5-Litri e capace di sviluppare 450cv e 500Nm di coppia. A muoverlo un cambio sequenziale a 6 rapporti. Il telaio ed il tetto sono in alluminio mentre i pannelli esterni della carrozzeria in fibra di carbonio consentono un peso complessivo dell'auto di circa 1.175 Kg. Questo modello specifico ha corso la Le Mans Series nella stagione 2010 ma altri modelli GT2 sono stati schierati in ulteriori campionati come FIA GT Championship, American Le Mans Series e 24 Ore di Le Mans.
