Once owned by Sir Tim Wallis, founder of The Alpine Fighter Collection, this aircraft’s survival and restoration after a serious accident in 1996 is a testament to the dedication of its restoration team. Seeing it in the sky again is to witness a piece of aviation history reborn.

Flying alongside is the elegant Spitfire Tr.9 (MH367), painted to represent EN520 of No. 81 Squadron RAF. This aircraft’s scheme honours New Zealand’s top-scoring ace, Colin Gray, who flew Spitfires with distinction during the North African campaign. With its graceful lines and distinctive desert camouflage, this Tr.9 embodies the Spitfire’s enduring elegance.

Captured at low-level with perfect formation flying, this footage highlights every detail—the whistle of wingtips, the resonance of propeller wash, and the energy of these two Spitfires sweeping past the camera.
