In this video I'm sewing a lace skirt from a few different lace scraps I’ve collected — all with different patterns, textures, and lengths. This is completely improvised (no pattern!) and came together very much on the fly.
I wanted this piece to work as a layering skirt, something delicate but with a bit of contrast, so I mixed in a grey elastic waistband to add a slightly sporty feel to balance the feminine lace and give some extra details. It’s definitely a chaotic sewing project, but I hope you enjoy the process
