मेरठ से 40 किलोमीटर दूर हस्तिनापुर अनेकाऩेक रहस्य समेटे हुए है. इन्हीं में से एक है कर्ण मंदिर जी हाँ सही सुना अपने कर्ण हम बात कर रहे है महाभारत का अतुलनीय योद्धा दानवीर कर्ण के बारे में। इस स्थान पर कभी दानवीर कर्ण लोगों को सोना, चांदी के आभूषण आदि दान किया करते थे. यहां तक कि उन्होंने इंद्रा देव के मांगने पर अपने कवच और कुण्डल तक दान कर दिए थे।
