Our latest poorly edited video for your viewing pleasure! 8" diameter x 3/4" high walnut catch all tray. Total time about 16 minutes including bit changes for 2 trays.
Feeds and Speeds
1/4" spiral upcut - 100 ipm x 18,000 rpm x 0.2" DOC (5MM)
1 1/8" bowl bit - 100 ipm x 18,000 rpm x 0.125" DOC (3.5MM)
Last time we used a 1/2" bit to hog out the bulk of the material but when considering the time for the extra bit change it isn't worth it.
Could have run the 1/4" faster in the walnut and probably increased the DOC on the bowl bit to make it in two passes.
