Reporter Live: 18 Months of Govt | 36 Urban Areas Approved, Puri Declared Municipal Corporation

Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra said that within 18 months, the government has approved 36 urban local bodies and declared Puri as a Municipal Corporation. He stated that unlike the previous government, which only made announcements, the present government has implemented its decisions on the ground. The minister also added that urban expansion will continue based on public need. Regarding pending elections, he clarified that polls were halted due to court orders, but efforts are on and elections will be conducted soon.
