Exploring three ways of removing material in a spiral shape from an object. The second method sweeps a sketch created as the spiral profile across a spiral path which has been created through the part workbench. We use the additive pipe tool in the part design workbench to sweep this profile and path leaving a spiral with a cross section in the shape of the defined profile. We then use the part design workbench to create and pad the base, bring the two objects together and with the use of the boolean tool we cut a spiral out of the padded base stock. This tutorial is build with beginners in mind.
