JLT Intake + XForce Headers & Custom Tune on a 2021 Ford Mustang 5.0L V8

In today’s video, we’re working on a 2021 Ford Mustang 5.0L V8 and giving it the upgrade package it deserves: a JLT cold air intake, XForce extractors with high-flow cats, and a full custom tune. This Mustang already had a cat-back installed, making it the perfect platform for a proper intake and exhaust combo.

Because the JLT intake is larger than stock, the MAP sensor position and airflow readings change — so we rescaled and recalibrated the ECU to keep everything running safely and smoothly. Once the intake and headers were fitted, we dialed in a tune to optimise airflow, fueling, and response across the entire rev range.

Dyno Results After Tune:
• Power: 345.4 kW @ 140
• Torque: 667.6 Nm @ 140

These gains highlight how well the Coyote responds to bolt-ons and proper calibration. Stronger mid-range, smoother top-end, and a more responsive throttle make this setup a noticeable improvement for daily driving and spirited runs.
